Coloring Edition Flipbook Craft
This is currently our most popular version among schools. It comes with pre-drawn animation line art, so students only need to assemble the Flipbook Craft and color the images using markers or colored pencils.
Creative students can also take it home and add their own backgrounds or new characters that interact with the original animation, creating an even more engaging animated work.
The entire project can be completed within three hours, making it ideal for a short, one-day workshop. We currently offer a wide variety of animation templates to choose from.
Blank-Paper Flipbook Craft
This kit contains only pre-cut blank drawing paper. In addition to creating the animation entirely from scratch, students need a solid understanding of animation principles and basic drawing skills to produce a high-quality result.
Before assembly, the paper must be cut horizontally, numbered in sequence, rearranged, and then reattached. Due to the difficulty of the process, even professional teachers have taken up to six hours to complete a single Flipbook Craft.
This section includes a workshop case study from Zhongzheng Senior High School. The teachers used rubbing and stencil techniques to create animations comparable in quality to those produced with modern digital drawing tools. The course handout used at the time is also available for reference.
Whiteboard Flipbook Craft
This is our fastest tool for teaching the basic principles of animation. A simple animation can be drawn on its 12 whiteboard pages in just 3–5 minutes, then erased in under a minute to begin a new creation. It can be reused again and again.
It is ideal for quickly introducing animation logic and drawing techniques before a formal class begins. Students or teachers with stronger drawing skills can spend more time creating detailed and entertaining animations.
Although it is highly convenient, the specialized whiteboard paper costs ten times as much as standard paper, making the overall unit price approximately 40% higher. We therefore usually recommend preparing only a few sets for classroom demonstrations.

Release Paper Flipbook Craft
Release paper lets you peel off and reapply stickers. For this Flipbook Craft, you can draw your animation on regular animation paper first, cut each sheet in half, and stick the drawings onto the release paper pages. This is a little easier than drawing directly on blank pages.
When you make a new animation, you can replace the drawings and keep the original ones in a sticker album. The example video explains the process starting at 1:20.
I originally designed this version to make it easier to turn traditional hand drawn animation into a physical Flipbook Craft that can be reused. Since few people have used it in practice, I’ve included this note to explain how it works.
